This course “Understanding Water Baptism and Salvation” is part of the evangelism and Soul-winning certification course(The SURETY OF SALVATION) offered by the International School of Christ Kindred (ISOCK), covering five(5) lessons each accompanied by an assessment and has been carefully developed to provide a comprehensive, biblical, and doctrinal understanding of one of the most frequently debated questions within Christianity:
Is being baptized in water the same as being born again or saved?
Throughout this course, students will undertake an in-depth scriptural examination of the biblical doctrine of water baptism and its relationship to salvation. Every lesson is supported by relevant biblical references, carefully prepared study materials, and assessments designed to evaluate the student's understanding of each topic.
Our objective is not merely to increase biblical knowledge, but to establish every student upon the truth of God's Word so that they may confidently explain and defend the biblical Gospel of Jesus Christ.

✅Course Purpose
There is an urgent need for sound biblical teaching concerning God's gift of salvation and the true purpose of water baptism. Around the world, many sincere believers continue to misunderstand the relationship between baptism and salvation.
This course is designed to move the student from confusion to clarity, from assumption to Scripture, and from merely knowing about baptism to understanding what the Word of God actually teaches concerning baptism and salvation.
Every lesson and assessment is intentionally structured to encourage biblical investigation, spiritual understanding, critical reflection, and faithful application of Scripture.
“Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.”
— 2 Timothy 2:15

✅Our Expectation of You
The International School of Christ Kindred exists to raise a generation of missionary Christians — believers who are doctrinally sound, spiritually mature, and practically equipped to serve the Body of Christ and reach the world. In light of this vision, the school expects every student to:
-
Pursue Truth Above Tradition Commit to seeking the "old paths" (Jeremiah 6:16) — God's original intent in Scripture — rather than settling for inherited assumptions or popular religious opinion.
-
Grow in Both Knowledge and Character Understand that the goal of study is transformation, not merely information. A student who can quote Scripture but does not live it has not yet fulfilled the purpose of this school (James 1:22).
-
Engage Fully with Each Lesson Come to every lesson prepared, complete assigned readings and reflections, and actively participate rather than passively consuming content.
-
Uphold Academic and Spiritual Integrity Submit original, honest work and represent the truths learned with accuracy — recognizing that misrepresentation of Scripture carries far greater weight than misrepresentation in secular study (James 3:1).
-
Demonstrate Christlike Conduct Reflect the fruit of the Spirit — patience, humility, kindness, and self-control — in interactions with instructors and fellow students, both within and outside the classroom (Galatians 5:22–23).
-
Take Ownership of Personal Growth Understand that no institution, teacher, or curriculum can substitute for personal responsibility in prayer, Scripture meditation, and obedience to the Holy Spirit.
-
Prepare for Ministry, Not Just Certification Approach every course as preparation for real ministry impact — the aim is not a certificate to display, but a life equipped to serve, teach, and disciple others effectively.
-
Honor the Vision of the School Represent the International School of Christ Kindred with integrity, understanding that graduates carry the reputation and doctrinal standard of the institution into the field of ministry.
Our foremost expectation is that every student will develop a deeper understanding of the Gospel of Jesus Christ and become increasingly equipped to communicate the message of salvation with biblical accuracy and conviction through the power and guidance of the Holy Spirit.
✅Course Assessment
Every lesson at the International School of Christ Kindred is assessed against the following core objectives. These apply across all courses and are used to design examinations, assignments, and practical evaluations.
1. Doctrinal Accuracy Students must be able to state biblical doctrine correctly and support every claim with a specific, correctly cited scripture reference — not opinion, tradition, or assumption.
2. Scriptural Fluency Students must demonstrate the ability to locate, quote, and rightly apply relevant scriptures in response to both direct questions and real-life scenarios (2 Timothy 2:15).
3. Origin-to-Purpose Reasoning In keeping with the school's teaching method, students must show they can trace a doctrine back to its biblical origin before explaining its purpose and application — never the reverse.
4. Practical Application Students must be able to translate doctrine into practical wisdom — applying what they have learned to real pastoral situations, personal conduct, and ministry scenarios.
5. Discernment Between Symbol and Substance Students must be able to distinguish clearly between the outward sign of a truth (e.g., water baptism) and the inward spiritual reality it represents, avoiding confusion between the two.
6. Clarity of Written Expression Answers must be written in clear, coherent, grammatically sound language that could be understood and taught to others — since every student is being trained not merely to know truth, but to communicate it.
7. Bereans-Standard Verification Students are assessed on their willingness and ability to test what they are taught against Scripture itself (Acts 17:11), rather than simply repeating what they have heard.
✅ DO's
-
Do study the origin of every doctrine before drawing conclusions about its purpose or application.
-
Do support every answer, comment, and opinion with a specific scripture reference wherever possible.
-
Do examine what you are taught against Scripture, in the manner of the Bereans (Acts 17:11).
-
Do ask questions when a concept is unclear — inquiry is encouraged, not discouraged.
-
Do submit all assignments and examinations with honesty and personal effort.
-
Do approach every lesson with humility, recognizing that revelation comes from the Holy Spirit, not merely from intellectual effort (1 Corinthians 2:14).
-
Do apply what you learn to your own life before attempting to teach or correct others.
-
Do treat fellow students, instructors, and administrative staff with respect and Christian courtesy at all times.
-
Do meet submission deadlines for assignments, exams, and practical evaluations.
-
Do approach differing viewpoints with grace, testing all things by Scripture rather than by personal preference or denominational tradition (1 Thessalonians 5:21).
❌ DON'Ts
-
Don't answer questions based on assumption, personal opinion, or church tradition without scriptural support.
-
Don't copy or plagiarize another student's work, published material, or online content without proper acknowledgment.
-
Don't treat any lesson as merely academic — every doctrine studied is meant to be lived, not just known.
-
Don't confuse the symbol of a spiritual truth with the substance it represents (e.g., equating water baptism with the new birth).
-
Don't dismiss or mock the questions or struggles of fellow students; every learner is at a different stage of growth.
-
Don't teach or share course content publicly as personal doctrine without proper acknowledgment of the school and its teaching materials.
-
Don't submit late work without prior communication with your instructor, except in cases of genuine emergency.
-
Don't allow pride in knowledge to replace humility in character — knowledge that puffs up is not the goal of this school (1 Corinthians 8:1).
-
Don't engage in doctrinal debate for the sake of argument rather than for the sake of truth and edification.
-
Don't neglect prayer and personal Bible study outside of formal coursework — classroom learning is meant to supplement, not replace, a living relationship with God.
